Blue Hole is an intermediate dive near Varadero on Cuba's northern coast. This natural sinkhole in the seabed creates a deep circular formation with dramatic blue coloring from the depth contrast. The edges of the blue hole are lined with healthy coral formations and sponges, while the deeper center attracts curious marine life including large groupers and barracuda. Schools of jacks and snappers circle the hole's rim, and nurse sharks occasionally rest on the sandy ledges. The moderate depth at the rim and deeper center provide an interesting multi-level dive experience, making Blue Hole one of Varadero's most popular and visually striking dive sites.
