
Playa El Coral is an intermediate dive near Varadero on Cuba's northern coast. This popular beach dive site features a coral reef accessible directly from the sandy shore, making it one of the most convenient diving options in the Varadero area. The reef starts in shallow water and gradually deepens, with healthy coral formations hosting diverse Caribbean fish species. Parrotfish, angelfish, and butterflyfish are common, while nurse sharks and stingrays rest on the sandy bottom. The site doubles as an excellent snorkeling destination in its shallower sections. Playa El Coral's easy beach access and varied depth profile make it suitable for a range of experience levels.
