El Cayel de Camacho is an intermediate dive near Varadero on Cuba's northern coast. This offshore reef site features a series of coral-covered rock formations rising from a sandy seabed, creating natural gathering points for marine life. The reef heads support healthy coral growth including brain corals, elkhorn coral, and sea fans, while schools of jacks and snappers orbit the formations. Nurse sharks rest on the sandy patches, and eagle rays occasionally glide past. The moderate depth and manageable currents make El Cayel de Camacho a rewarding intermediate dive with good variety and reliable marine encounters off Varadero.
