Power Plant is an advanced dive near Varadero on Cuba's northern coast. This site near a former coastal power station features industrial structures that have become colonized by marine life, creating a unique artificial reef environment. The underwater infrastructure provides shelter for large groupers, moray eels, and schools of snappers, while the surrounding natural reef supports healthy coral growth. Barracuda and jacks patrol the deeper water around the structures. The deeper profile and potential current exposure require advanced skills, but Power Plant offers an unusual dive combining industrial archaeology with Cuba's exceptional Caribbean marine biodiversity.
