Sweet Bottom

Sweet Bottom is an advanced shore dive in Curaçao. This site features a gentle sandy slope leading to a reef wall that drops steeply into deep Caribbean water. The sandy bottom supports garden eels, stingrays, and flatfish, while the adjacent reef wall hosts impressive coral formations with large barrel sponges, sea fans, and healthy hard corals. The transition zone between sand and reef attracts interesting macro life including seahorses, frogfish, and nudibranchs. The depth and wall profile require advanced skills, but Sweet Bottom rewards with excellent biodiversity and a unique sand-to-reef diving experience on Curaçao's leeward coast.
