Roca Honda - Isla de la Plata is a beginner-friendly dive site featuring a deep-set rocky formation off Ecuador's Isla de la Plata. The site offers excellent underwater topography with overhangs, small caverns, and channels carved into the volcanic rock. Green sea turtles are almost guaranteed sightings here, along with schools of king angelfish and barberfish. The Humboldt Current influence brings seasonal blooms of plankton that attract manta rays and whale sharks to the area.
