Marsa Abu Galawa is a beginner-friendly dive site at a sheltered inlet north of Hurghada in Egypt's Red Sea. The calm lagoon features a small wreck resting in shallow water, perfectly colonized by corals and serving as an excellent artificial reef. The surrounding sandy bottom reveals garden eels, stingrays, and camouflaged frogfish. The combination of wreck, reef, and sand habitats in a single calm dive site makes it ideal for training and macro photography. Visibility is typically excellent in this protected bay.
