Sharks Point is a beginner-to-intermediate reef near Marsa Alam named for occasional blacktip and whitetip reef shark sightings along the reef edge. The site features a healthy fringing reef with a gentle slope transitioning to a sandy bottom. Large coral bommies provide shelter for groupers, moray eels, and lionfish, while the open water above the reef attracts passing trevallies and barracuda. Despite its name, the sharks here are shy and harmless, making it an exciting but safe introduction to shark diving in the Red Sea.
