
The Arch is an advanced dive site on the eastern coast of Crete, featuring a spectacular natural stone arch formation underwater. This dramatic geological feature creates a stunning swim-through that is a highlight for underwater photographers and experienced divers. The arch walls are decorated with colorful sponges, gorgonians, and encrusting marine life. Groupers, moray eels, and scorpionfish inhabit the crevices around the formation, while schools of anthias and damselfish add color to the scene. Currents can develop at this exposed location, contributing to the advanced rating. The Arch showcases the dramatic underwater geology that makes Crete one of the most geologically interesting diving destinations in the Mediterranean.
