Marsa Shabir is an advanced dive site near the Strait of Tiran in Egypt's Red Sea, featuring a deep inlet with dramatic walls and strong currents. The narrow inlet creates a venturi effect that concentrates marine life at the entrance. Grey reef sharks, large Napoleon wrasse, and schools of trevally are common at the mouth. Inside the inlet, the walls are covered in pristine soft corals protected from heavy current. The combination of big pelagics at the entrance and sheltered coral beauty inside makes Marsa Shabir a two-in-one dive experience.
