Bocacangrejo is a beginner-friendly shore dive on Tenerife's eastern coast, reaching 18 meters depth. Named 'crab mouth' for the rocky inlet that serves as the entry point, this site features an accessible volcanic reef with interesting rock formations, small caves, and sandy patches. The sheltered cove provides easy water entry and calm conditions, making it popular for training dives. Trumpetfish, cuttlefish, and ornate wrasse are common sightings, while the rocky crevices harbor crabs (living up to the name), nudibranchs, and small moray eels. The eastern coast exposure ensures reliable diving conditions when western and northern sites are affected by Atlantic weather.
