Central Eléctrica is a beginner-friendly shore dive on Tenerife's eastern coast near Candelaria, named after the power station visible from the shore. Reaching 18 meters depth, this site features volcanic rock formations and sandy patches along the industrial coastline that surprisingly support a thriving marine ecosystem. Trumpetfish, parrotfish, and ornate wrasse populate the reef, while octopuses and moray eels shelter in the rock crevices. The warm water outflow from the power station slightly elevates temperatures, attracting additional marine species to the area. Easy shore access and reliable conditions make Central Eléctrica a practical dive site for training and casual diving on the eastern seaboard.
