Cueva del Jarro is an advanced cave dive off La Herradura on Spain's Costa Tropical, reaching 18 meters depth. This volcanic cavern features a jar-shaped (jarro) main chamber with a narrow entrance that opens into a wider space inside. The cave walls are decorated with sponges, bryozoans, and small anemones, while the darker recesses shelter narval shrimp and small crustaceans. Moray eels guard the cave entrance, and the surrounding reef hosts groupers, octopuses, and Mediterranean wrasse. The confined entrance, overhead environment, and potential surge conditions at the cave mouth require proper cave diving awareness and good buoyancy skills from experienced divers.
