El Cabrón - Los Roncadores is an advanced dive site within the El Cabrón marine reserve near Arinaga, Gran Canaria, named for the large brown meagre (roncadores) that congregate in impressive schools. Reaching a maximum depth of 22 meters, this site features volcanic ridges and boulder fields where these vocal fish gather in dense formations, creating one of the reserve's most memorable encounters. The rocky terrain also shelters groupers, moray eels, and angel sharks on the sandy patches, while barracuda and amberjack patrol above. The marine reserve's protected status ensures exceptional fish density, making Los Roncadores a must-dive for experienced divers visiting Gran Canaria.
