Güímar is a beginner-friendly shore dive on Tenerife's eastern coast, reaching 18 meters depth along the volcanic coastline of this historic town. The site features a gently sloping volcanic reef with scattered boulders, lava formations, and sandy channels that support diverse Atlantic marine life. Green sea turtles are frequently encountered, along with trumpetfish, parrotfish, and schools of salema grazing on the algae-covered rocks. Octopuses and cuttlefish hide in the volcanic crevices, while the open water occasionally reveals passing rays and barracuda. The eastern coast's sheltered position provides reliable diving conditions, making Güímar a good alternative when the north coast is too rough.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
