Montaña Guaza is a dramatic underwater volcanic landscape off the southern tip of Tenerife near Los Cristianos. This beginner-friendly site features impressive basalt formations, lava tubes, and rocky ridges descending from the base of the Montaña Guaza cliff into the Atlantic. The volcanic terrain creates countless hiding spots for octopuses, moray eels, and large groupers, while open water above attracts schools of barracuda and the occasional sea turtle. The site benefits from its exposure to nutrient-rich currents, supporting dense gardens of algae and invertebrates on the rock surfaces. Good conditions are typical, though swell can occasionally affect access.
