Saajuu is a beginner-friendly freshwater dive site in the lake district of Eastern Finland, offering calm and accessible diving in the heart of the Finnish wilderness. The site features a gently sloping lakebed with sandy and rocky sections interspersed with aquatic plant meadows. The clean, soft water of the eastern Finnish lakes provides pleasant diving conditions, with visibility typically ranging from 3-8 metres depending on the season. Pike and perch are the dominant fish species, while the rocky areas harbour freshwater snails and crayfish. The remote, peaceful setting surrounded by endless boreal forest gives Saajuu a distinctly Finnish character.
