Three Brothers is an advanced dive on the Great Astrolabe Reef off Kadavu, Fiji, featuring three coral pinnacles that rise from the deep reef slope like underwater sentinels. Each 'brother' is a self-contained ecosystem covered in hard and soft corals, with schools of fish swirling around the pinnacles. The gaps between the bommies create natural channels where currents accelerate, attracting grey reef sharks, schooling barracuda, and large trevally. Manta rays are sometimes spotted cruising between the pinnacles during plankton-rich periods. The site's depth and current exposure require advanced certifications, but the dramatic topography and big animal encounters reward the effort. A highlight of Kadavu diving.
