Sam's Point is an intermediate dive at a prominent headland along the Somosomo Strait off Taveuni, Fiji, where the reef juts into the current creating a natural aggregation point for marine life. The point's exposed position means strong currents are common, but they bring exceptional rewards — grey reef sharks circle in the blue, schools of trevally and barracuda patrol the reef edge, and green turtles ride the flow. The coral cover is outstanding, with massive sea fans, whip corals, and soft coral gardens thriving in the nutrient stream. The point offers both wall diving on the exposed face and sheltered reef exploration in the lee. A well-rounded Somosomo Strait dive.
