Betty Bomber is a beginner-friendly WWII aircraft wreck dive in Truk Lagoon (Chuuk), Micronesia, featuring the well-preserved remains of a Japanese Mitsubishi G4M 'Betty' bomber resting in shallow water. The twin-engine aircraft lies intact on a sandy bottom, its fuselage and wings clearly recognizable after eight decades underwater. Coral growth has colonized the airframe without obscuring its shape, and tropical fish now inhabit what was once a weapon of war. The shallow depth makes this one of Truk Lagoon's most accessible wartime wrecks, perfect for divers visiting the world's greatest wreck diving destination for the first time. A poignant piece of Pacific War history.
