Kensho Maru is a beginner-friendly wreck dive in Truk Lagoon, Chuuk, Micronesia, featuring a 116-metre Japanese cargo ship accessible at shallower depths than many of the lagoon's larger wrecks. The ship sits upright with the top of the superstructure in as little as 10 metres of water, making it ideal for less experienced divers to explore the decks and upper structure. The engine room is a highlight for those comfortable with penetration diving. Coral growth has transformed the wreck into a vibrant artificial reef, with anemones, soft corals, and clouds of tropical fish decorating every surface. Kensho Maru provides an excellent introduction to Truk Lagoon's legendary wreck diving.
