Yubai Maru is an intermediate wreck dive in Truk Lagoon, Chuuk, Micronesia, offering a manageable depth profile suitable for experienced recreational divers. The Japanese cargo vessel sits in the lagoon's warm, clear waters with its upper structure accessible at moderate depths. Coral encrustation has created a colourful artificial reef on the hull, with soft corals, anemones, and sponges competing for space. Tropical fish life is abundant, with schools of fusiliers and batfish around the superstructure. The wreck's intermediate depth makes it an excellent progression dive for those working up to the deeper wrecks of Truk Lagoon. Warm 28-30°C water makes for comfortable diving year-round.
