Kurrekurredutt Dropoff is an advanced wall dive off Yap, Micronesia, where the outer reef drops precipitously into the deep blue Pacific. The wall plunges hundreds of metres, creating a vertigo-inducing sense of depth that thrills experienced divers. The upper wall sections feature pristine coral growth with large gorgonian fans, black coral trees, and colourful soft coral clusters. Grey reef sharks patrol the wall edge, while schools of barracuda and jacks move in the current. The exposed position means strong currents are possible, requiring solid drift diving skills. Kurrekurredutt Dropoff rewards those prepared for challenging conditions with some of Yap's most dramatic underwater scenery.
