Lionfish Wall is an advanced wall dive off Yap, Micronesia, named for the large population of lionfish that hover beneath the wall's overhangs and in its crevices. The dramatic reef wall drops into deep water, with the lionfish creating photogenic displays as they fan their ornate fins against the coral backdrop. Beyond the namesake lionfish, the wall supports rich coral coverage including large sea fans, soft corals, and barrel sponges. Reef sharks cruise the wall, and pelagic species pass in the blue water. Strong currents can develop along the wall, requiring advanced buoyancy skills. An atmospheric and visually striking Yap wall dive.
