Manta Ridge is an advanced dive off Yap, Micronesia, and one of the island's premier manta ray sites. A coral ridge running along the outer reef creates an upwelling that attracts plankton, drawing manta rays to feed in dramatic aerial displays. Mantas soar along the ridge with mouths agape, barrel-rolling through the plankton clouds. The ridge itself features excellent coral coverage with large sea fans and soft corals. Strong currents are common, making this site suitable for experienced divers comfortable with drift diving. Multiple mantas are often present simultaneously, creating unforgettable encounters with these gentle giants of the Pacific. Yap's manta diving is considered among the best on Earth.
