Sunrise Reef

Sunrise Reef is a beginner-friendly dive off the eastern side of Yap, Micronesia, best dived in the morning when the rising sun illuminates the reef in golden light. The east-facing orientation catches the first rays of sunlight, creating magical lighting conditions that transform the already colourful reef into a glowing underwater canvas. Healthy hard and soft corals host diverse tropical fish communities, with schools of anthias and fusiliers particularly photogenic in the morning light.
