Yap Corner is an advanced dive at a prominent reef corner off Yap, Micronesia, where converging currents create one of the island's most action-packed dive sites. The corner acts as a natural funnel, concentrating marine life where two reef walls meet. Grey reef sharks aggregate in impressive numbers, joined by whitetip and blacktip reef sharks. Schools of barracuda, jacks, and fusiliers create silver walls of fish. The reef structure at the corner features exceptional coral health, with large fans and soft coral gardens thriving in the current. Manta rays occasionally pass through. Strong currents require solid drift diving skills, but the rewards are outstanding — this is Yap at its wildest.
