The Grec, also known as Sagona, is a deep wreck dive off the coast of Saint-Raphaël in the Var department. This Greek cargo ship sank in the early 20th century and now rests on a sandy seabed, its structure heavily colonized by marine life. Large gorgonian fans and soft corals adorn the hull, while groupers, moray eels, and scorpionfish lurk in the wreckage. The depth makes this an advanced dive requiring good buoyancy control and experience with deeper profiles. Visibility is typically excellent in this part of the Côte d'Azur, allowing divers to appreciate the full scale of the wreck and its rich biological cover.
