Pointe de la Croix is a scenic reef dive at Port-Cros, part of the Îles d'Hyères National Park — France's oldest marine protected area. This beginner-friendly site features a rocky point extending into clear Mediterranean waters, with granite boulders creating small caves, overhangs, and swim-throughs. The protected status ensures abundant marine life: colorful wrasse, damselfish, sea bream, and octopuses are common, while dense Posidonia seagrass meadows harbor seahorses and pipefish. The shallow depths and calm conditions make it an ideal introduction to Mediterranean diving, with the pristine island scenery of Port-Cros adding to the experience above and below the surface.
