St Abbs Marine Park (officially the St Abbs and Eyemouth Voluntary Marine Reserve) is one of Scotland's finest diving destinations, protecting a spectacular stretch of volcanic coastline in the Scottish Borders. The reserve encompasses dramatic underwater scenery of kelp forests, boulder-strewn gullies, and deep walls teeming with marine life. Wolf fish, large lobsters, and dense soft coral gardens are signature sights. The volcanic rock formations create complex underwater topography with numerous swim-throughs, overhangs, and caverns. Multiple shore and boat dive sites cater to different experience levels. Visibility is often excellent, reaching 15-20 meters. The reserve's protected status ensures thriving populations of temperate marine species rarely seen in such abundance elsewhere in British waters.
