Portugal Wreck is an intermediate wreck dive near Makronisos island in the Attica region. Named after the vessel's origin or registry, this wreck lies at moderate depth, making it accessible to divers with wreck diving training but without requiring technical certifications. The ship's structure provides interesting exploration, with the hull, deck fittings, and partial superstructure still recognizable. Marine colonization has been extensive: sponges, tunicates, and hydroids cover every surface, while groupers, moray eels, and schools of bream inhabit the structure. The clear Aegean waters around Makronisos provide good visibility for exploration and photography. A solid intermediate wreck dive accessible by boat from Lavrio.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
