The parking lot

The Parking Lot is a beginner-friendly dive site in the Attica region near Makronisos, humorously named for a collection of sunken vehicles and debris that have been deliberately placed on the sandy seabed to create an artificial reef. The underwater 'parking lot' includes various objects that attract marine life, with sponges, anemones, and algae colonizing every surface. Schools of damselfish and wrasse weave between the structures, while octopus and moray eels hide in the nooks. The flat, sandy terrain and shallow depth make navigation straightforward, and the quirky underwater scenery provides excellent photographic opportunities. A fun and unusual dive that entertains divers of all experience levels.
