Kabouri is a beginner-friendly dive site near Marathon on the northern Attica coast. Named after the Greek word for crab, this site appropriately hosts a healthy population of crustaceans alongside other Mediterranean marine life. The underwater terrain features a mix of rocky reef and sandy bottom with Posidonia seagrass meadows. Wrasse, damselfish, and sea bream patrol the reef, while octopus, cuttlefish, and various crab species inhabit the rocky crevices. The sheltered position ensures calm diving conditions, and the clear Euboean Gulf waters provide good visibility. A pleasant everyday dive site popular with local dive operations for training and casual exploration dives.
