Kastos is an intermediate dive site around the small island of Kastos in the Ionian Sea. This tiny, car-free island offers pristine diving conditions in the crystal-clear Ionian waters, with walls and rocky reefs descending to 30 meters. The underwater landscape features dramatic rock formations, small caves, and overhangs covered with sponges and gorgonians. Marine life is impressively diverse for such a small island: groupers, moray eels, and lobsters inhabit the deeper sections, while wrasse, damselfish, and octopus populate the shallower reef. The remote, unspoiled character of Kastos means marine life is abundant and confident. Accessible by boat from Lefkada or Meganisi during the summer season.
