Panteronisi is an advanced dive site near the island of Syros in the Cyclades. This small rocky islet creates dramatic underwater terrain with steep walls, deep overhangs, and current-swept passages. The exposed position attracts strong currents that bring pelagic species: large amberjack schools, barracuda, and the occasional tuna sweep past the walls. Dense gorgonian forests and vibrant sponge colonies cover the vertical surfaces, while groupers and moray eels inhabit the numerous caves. The combination of challenging conditions, pristine marine ecology, and the stunning Cycladic underwater clarity makes Panteronisi a top-tier dive for experienced divers seeking adventure in the central Aegean.
