Skeleton at Sparti Island is an intermediate dive site near the private island of Skorpios (once owned by Aristotle Onassis) in the Ionian Sea. The site reaches 30 meters and features an intriguing underwater landscape named for a rock formation resembling a skeleton. The rocky terrain includes walls, overhangs, and boulder fields covered with sponges and Mediterranean marine growth. Groupers, moray eels, and octopus inhabit the crevices, while schools of bream and chromis patrol above. The crystal-clear Ionian waters provide exceptional visibility. The exclusive Onassis archipelago setting adds a touch of glamour to this rewarding intermediate dive accessible from Lefkada.
