Vriokastro is a beginner-friendly dive site near the island of Sifnos in the Cyclades, named after an ancient fortified settlement on the nearby headland. The underwater terrain features a gentle slope with archaeological interest: ancient pottery shards and stone blocks from the historic settlement can occasionally be seen among the natural reef formations. The reef supports healthy Mediterranean marine life including wrasse, damselfish, and sea bream. The clear Cycladic waters provide excellent visibility for appreciating both the marine life and the subtle archaeological remains. A unique dive that combines easy conditions with a tangible connection to ancient Greek civilization.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
