
Samos Free Fall is a beginner-friendly dive site off the island of Samos in the North Aegean. Despite its dramatic name, the site offers a comfortable and controlled experience with a gentle slope that gradually descends from shallow water. The name refers to the exhilarating sensation of descending along the clear blue water column with excellent visibility. The reef features scattered rock formations over sand, with healthy Posidonia meadows attracting diverse marine life. Wrasse, sea bream, damselfish, and octopus are commonly encountered, along with occasional torpedo rays resting on the sandy bottom. The calm conditions and gradual profile make it ideal for newly certified divers building confidence.
