Grouper Point is an advanced dive site in the Peloponnese, Greece, named for the large groupers that have established territories around this rocky promontory. The site features deeper walls and boulder fields that attract bigger Mediterranean fish species. Amberjack, dentex, and barracuda join the resident groupers, while the rocky substrate supports gorgonian fans, sponges, and dense invertebrate communities. Currents can develop around the point, bringing nutrient-rich water that supports the abundant marine life. Grouper Point offers experienced divers the opportunity to encounter some of the Mediterranean's larger fish species in a setting that demonstrates the health of the Peloponnese's marine environment.
