Tyros is an advanced dive site on the eastern Peloponnese coast in the Arcadia region. This dramatic stretch of coastline features steep underwater cliffs that plunge from the rugged shore into deep water, creating spectacular wall dives. The walls are covered with Mediterranean gorgonians, colorful sponge gardens, and false black coral at depth. Strong currents can develop along the exposed headlands, bringing pelagic species including large amberjack, dentex, and tuna during migration seasons. The rocky terrain shelters impressive groupers, lobsters, and moray eels. The remote eastern Peloponnese setting means uncrowded diving with pristine marine conditions, though the exposed position demands careful planning around weather and sea state.
