Citrus Ridge is an advanced dive site in the western reaches of Raja Ampat, featuring a current-swept ridge system that attracts an impressive diversity of both reef and pelagic species. The ridge descends from shallow coral gardens to about 27 meters, with the walls covered in vibrant soft corals in shades of orange, yellow, and pink that give the site its citrus-inspired name. Strong currents bring nutrient-rich water that sustains dense fish life—schools of trevally, fusiliers, and barracuda sweep along the ridge, while grey reef sharks and eagle rays patrol the deeper sections. The ridge's crevices shelter pygmy seahorses, nudibranchs, and porcelain crabs among the gorgonian fans. Currents can be powerful and unpredictable, requiring advanced skills and a guide who knows the site well. Citrus Ridge rewards experienced divers with a spectacular combination of coral color and big-fish action.
