Labyrinth is an intriguing dive site off the southern coast of Nusa Penida, named for its maze-like underwater topography of canyons, swim-throughs, and rock formations that create an adventurous dive experience. The site features large coral-encrusted boulders with passages winding between them from 5 to about 20 meters depth, allowing divers to navigate through a series of natural archways and narrow channels. The sheltered areas between the rocks support healthy coral growth and host a diverse community of reef fish, while the open areas attract schools of sweetlips, batfish, and fusiliers. Blue-spotted stingrays rest on sandy patches, and reef octopus hide in the rocky crevices. The relatively protected position and manageable currents make Labyrinth accessible to confident beginners and intermediate divers, offering an exciting and varied dive that feels like exploring an underwater playground.
