Pramuka Jetty is a dive site beneath the main pier on Pramuka Island in Jakarta's Thousand Islands (Pulau Seribu) archipelago. The jetty pilings create an artificial reef habitat that attracts surprisingly diverse marine life for a site so close to Indonesia's capital city. The pilings are colonized by sponges, soft corals, and tunicates that host frogfish, nudibranchs, and juvenile fish sheltering among the structure. The surrounding sandy seabed descends to about 25 meters and supports blue-spotted stingrays, garden eels, and various crustaceans. Schools of glassfish and cardinalfish swirl around the pylons, creating an active underwater scene. The site is excellent for night diving when critters emerge to hunt. Easy access and calm conditions make Pramuka Jetty a convenient dive for Jakarta-based divers, demonstrating that rewarding macro diving can be found even within the Thousand Islands' urban-adjacent waters.
