Batee Meuduro is an advanced dive site on the southern side of Pulau Weh in Aceh, known for its dramatic underwater terrain and big-animal potential. The site features large volcanic boulder formations creating walls, canyons, and swim-throughs that descend to about 30 meters, covered in healthy soft corals, sea fans, and sponges. The exposed southern position means stronger currents that attract pelagic species—Napoleon wrasse, eagle rays, and reef sharks are regular visitors, while manta rays appear seasonally. The rocky landscape provides habitat for groupers, lionfish, and an impressive diversity of nudibranchs and macro life in the calmer areas. Visibility is generally excellent, showcasing the site's dramatic topography at its best. The combination of challenging conditions, big-animal encounters, and pristine reef health makes Batee Meuduro one of Pulau Weh's most rewarding dives for experienced divers seeking adventure in this remote corner of Indonesia.
