Satil Wreck is an advanced dive site in Eilat, Israel, featuring the intentionally sunk INS Sufa, a former Israeli Navy missile boat scuttled in 1994 to create an artificial reef. The 45-meter vessel rests upright on a sandy bottom, its structure now heavily colonized by hard and soft corals that have transformed the military vessel into a thriving marine habitat. Schools of glassfish fill the interior spaces, while lionfish patrol the deck and large groupers have taken up residence in the engine room. The wreck attracts an impressive concentration of marine life, with barracuda circling above and moray eels inhabiting every accessible compartment. Divers can swim along the exterior exploring the bridge, gun mounts, and missile launchers, all now softened by coral growth. The wreck's upright position and intact structure make it one of the most photogenic wreck dives in the Red Sea. Satil Wreck has become Eilat's most famous dive site, proving that artificial reefs can create genuinely spectacular underwater attractions.
