Yatush Wreck is an advanced dive site in Eilat, Israel, featuring the remains of an intentionally sunk vessel resting on the sandy bottom near the city's southern dive sites. The wreck has been transformed over the years into a thriving artificial reef, with hard and soft corals progressively colonizing the steel structure. Schools of glassfish and sweepers fill the interior compartments in shimmering clouds, while lionfish and scorpionfish ambush prey from coral-encrusted perches on the hull. The surrounding sandy area provides habitat for garden eels and bluespotted stingrays, creating a diverse dive that combines wreck exploration with reef encounters. Large moray eels have taken up residence in the wreck's recesses, and octopuses are frequently spotted hunting along the structure. Yatush Wreck adds variety to Eilat's dive offerings, providing an alternative to the natural reef dives that dominate the coastline and demonstrating how artificial structures can enhance marine biodiversity in the Gulf of Aqaba.
