Turtle Beach is an intermediate dive site in the Andaman Islands, India, offering a deeper reef exploration to 30 meters along a coral slope teeming with marine life near Havelock Island. The deeper profile reveals larger gorgonian fans, impressive barrel sponges, and healthy soft coral growth that adds dimension to the already spectacular hard coral gardens. Green and hawksbill turtles are the signature residents, encountered with remarkable reliability at all depths. The deeper sections attract larger reef fish including Napoleon wrasse and bumphead parrotfish, while reef sharks occasionally cruise the drop-off zone. The site's intermediate rating reflects the greater depth that requires attention to air consumption and decompression limits. This deeper section of Turtle Beach offers experienced intermediate divers the chance to explore the Andaman reefs beyond the shallows, revealing the full depth and diversity of one of the Indian Ocean's most pristine reef ecosystems.
