The Arch is an advanced dive off Calabria's coast near the Strait of Messina, featuring a spectacular natural stone arch formation that frames the deep blue beyond. The arch's walls and ceiling are encrusted with colorful sponges, gorgonians, and Mediterranean coral, while the passage creates a natural funnel that concentrates marine life. Large grouper station themselves in the arch's shadow, and schools of barracuda pass through in the current. The site's depth and exposure to Strait currents require solid experience, but swimming through this geological marvel is an unforgettable Calabrian diving moment.
