Cala Cicale is a beginner-friendly dive in the Tavolara Marine Protected Area named after the slipper lobsters (cicale di mare) that shelter in the rocky crevices. The site features a gentle gradient of granite boulders and sandy clearings with Posidonia meadows. Beyond the lobsters, divers encounter grouper patrolling their territories, octopus in their dens, and dense schools of salema grazing on algae. The Tavolara reserve's long-standing protection ensures robust marine populations, while the emerald waters and white sand create an underwater landscape of exceptional Mediterranean beauty.
