Occhio di Dio — 'Eye of God' — is a beginner-friendly dive in the Tavolara Marine Protected Area, named for a striking circular rock formation on the seabed that resembles a giant eye looking skyward. This natural geological feature creates a dramatic focal point surrounded by granite boulders and Posidonia meadows. Grouper, wrasse, and damselfish populate the area, while the 'eye' itself hosts encrusting organisms and small fish. The Tavolara reserve's crystal-clear water ensures this unique formation is beautifully illuminated, making it one of northeastern Sardinia's most photographed underwater features.
